Back in 2019, we set out to do something no one else in Lebanon had done: create the country’s first and only licensed shisha molasses production site, under the watchful eye of the Régie Libanaise des Tabacs et Tombacs. Since then, we’ve been raising the bar for quality, innovation, and craftsmanship in the world of shisha tobacco—and we’re pretty proud of that.

Our 3,000-square-meter facility is all about precision and hygiene. Outfitted with cutting-edge Sasib and GD machinery (the gold standard in tobacco processing), every step of our process meets the highest international standards. We’ve set up fully automated, semi-automated, and manual packing lines, with dedicated spaces for each brand we produce—including global names like Mazaya, Nakhla, Al Fakher, Khalil Maamoun, and of course, our own Mawwal.

We don’t just stop at great machines. Our dedicated labs and climate-controlled storage areas are designed to keep everything—temperature, humidity, and freshness—just right, so every batch of Mawwal is as perfect as the last.

Behind every pouch of Mawwal is a passionate team: engineers, operators, technicians, quality control experts, and lab analysts, all working together. From the moment raw material arrives to the final seal on each pouch, our team’s expertise ensures nothing but the best. Our QC department uses advanced lab instruments to check everything—cut, color, moisture, composition, and flavor—so you get a consistent, pure, and delicious experience every time.

From Leaf to Luxury: The Mawwal Journey

It all starts with the world’s finest tobacco, carefully sourced and rigorously checked for quality. We use metal detection and optical sorting to remove any impurities, then cut the leaves for a perfectly even blend. Everything happens in a climate-controlled environment, so the tobacco stays fresh and flavorful.

The real magic happens during blending and cooking. We mix the tobacco with molasses, glycerin, and our signature flavors, then gently heat and blend it all together. This lets the flavors soak deep into the leaves, creating that unmistakable Mawwal taste.

But we don’t rush things. After blending, the tobacco rests in sealed bins under strict conditions. This aging process is key—it lets the flavors develop and the texture become smooth and rich.

Our Two-Phase Production Process

We take production seriously, dividing it into two main phases:

Primary Production: Here, we prep the tobacco and blend the flavors, with our QC team checking every detail. The product is then moved in sealed trays (no contamination here!) via a special elevator system.

Secondary Production: This is where we package Mawwal into 50g and 250g pouches. Quality checks happen every five minutes, and everything is documented in real time. Our QC and technical teams make sure every pouch is perfect before it leaves the factory.

• Our primary QC team monitors the blend and readiness.

• The mid-process team tracks every batch for safety and traceability.
